When she found a pesto recipe with frozen peas she hesitated, but decided to give it a try. “I would have never thought peas would be so delicious”, said Tara. Then when she found Garlicky Green Parma! Tara realized that it contained many of the same ingredients she was using in her pesto, so she substituted Garlicky Green Parma! for some of her ingredients and this is what she came up with, she loved it and so do we. If you want to make it oil free, try using a juicy, organic tomato instead of the olive oil.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups frozen green peas, thawed
- 1/3 cup fresh basil
- Juice of one lemon, about 2 TBL
- 1/3 cup Garlicky Green Parma!
- 4 TBL olive oil or tomato
Directions
Add all ingredients to a food processor or high-speed blender. Start with one TBL water and add more if needed. Blend until thick but creamy pesto is achieved.
